I’m Joe.
I am a professional piano technician and current president of the Dallas chapter of the Piano Technicians’ Guild (since 2025), dedicated to helping instruments perform at their absolute best through expert tuning, action regulation and repair.
My approach to piano work is rooted in a rare combination of high-level musicianship and hands-on craftsmanship. Alongside my technical training with top professionals in the field, I bring decades of experience as a Juilliard- and Curtis-trained French hornist and a member of the Dallas Symphony since 2014. Over a 25-year performing career, I’ve performed with world-class orchestras including the Philadelphia Orchestra and Los Angeles Philharmonic, performing on the world’s most demanding stages. That perspective directly informs how I listen to, evaluate, and refine every piano I service.
As a longtime woodworker, I’m drawn to the unique intersection of mechanical precision, the marriage of natural materials, and the subtle gradients of sound that define a truly well-performing piano. That balance of craftsmanship and musicianship is at the core of my work.
When you book with me, your piano receives meticulous attention to detail and honest, expert guidance. If a service won’t genuinely improve your instrument, I won’t recommend it.
Above all, I’m committed to your satisfaction and to helping your piano truly sing- the way you want it to.
